Me (in a tizzy) : God, can I ask you something?

GOD : Sure.

Me : Promise you won't get mad?

GOD : I promise.

Me (frustrated): Why did you let so much stuff happen to me today?

GOD : What do you mean?

Me : Well I woke up late,

GOD : Yes

Me : My car took forever to start,

GOD : Okay....

Me (growling): At lunch, they made my sandwich wrong and I had to wait

GOD : Hmmmm..

Me : On the way home, my phone went dead, just as I picked up a call

GOD : All right

Me (loudly): And to top it all off, when I got home, I just wanted to
soak my feet in my foot massager and relax, but it wouldn't work.
Nothing went right today! Why did you do that?

GOD : Well let me see..... the death angel was at your bed this morning
and I had to send one of the other angels to battle him for your life.
I let you sleep through that.

Me (humbled): Oh...

GOD: I didn't let your car start because there was a drunk driver on
your route that might have hit you if you were on the road

Me (ashamed): ............

GOD : The first person who made your sandwich today was sick and I didn't
want you to catch what they have, I knew you couldn't afford to miss
work

Me (embarrassed): Oh.....

GOD : Your phone went dead because the person that was calling was going
to give a false witness about what you said on that call, I didn't even
let you talk to them so you would be covered

Me (softly): I see God

GOD : Oh and that foot massager, it had a short that was going to throw
out all of the power in your house tonight. I didn't think you wanted to
be in the dark.

Me : I'm sorry God.

GOD : Don't be sorry, just learn to trust me.........in all things, the
good and the bad

Me: I WILL trust you God

GOD : And don't doubt that my plan for your day is always better than
your plan

Me : I won't God. And let me just tell you God, thank you for everything
today.

GOD : You're welcome child. It was just another day being your God and I
love looking after my children.

I saw this today-- I just had to post!!

Early Morning Drive

Today we had to head up to Ruch to pick up two of our kids from an overnighter at the church.  We left the house a little early to go up to a spot where we see a lot of paragliders gliding over these mountains.  We have been seeing them for the past 15 years on our way to church but never ventured up to see where they were jumping off of.  So this morning was a day that we decided to go up and check it out.  On this day it was a little foggy and it had just rained so we had a feeling there were not be much jumpers on this day.  I was so happy about this because on the way up there were a lot of blind curves and very narrow roads.  

Here is a picture of the jumping spot.  It was so high up that I am finding that the older I get the more chicken I am.  I told my youngest so who is 10 to be very careful and stay away from the edge as it was a straight down cliff.  He said "don't worry mom, if I fall off I have my tooth brush, tooth paste and water."  I had to laugh.  Oh boy -- I was ready to go back down to safety.

From what I understand people come from all over the world to this jumping spot.  I have to admit -- There is no where like Oregon.  Southern Oregon is breath taking with the mountains and views.  We even saw snow this morning!

Love Notes To Your Kids?

The kids were so surprised at what they found under their lunch today! Hopefully they won't get ink poison.  It was a fun day with memorable moments in the making.

Leftover Turkey Casserole

I finally decided to cook that turkey that has been in my freezer for the last few months.  After our having an upright freezer for many years and then to see it die....oh how we take things for granted!  Our only freezer is the one that comes with our frig.  If you are using the same thing you know how space is limited.  I was glad to get the turkey out of there.  I wanted to share a dish with you that my children really liked.  It does not have a strong taste but it was really great and I plan on cooking it again really soon.

 Leftover Turkey Casserole

3 Cups of cooked rice

1/3 Cup onion

1/2 tsp curry powder

1 can of cream of mushroom soup

1/2 Cup of milk

2 Cups of chopped turkey

Chopped Olives

Shredded Cheese

 

Preheat your oven to 350.  Chop unions really fine. Mix the curry powder and chopped onions to the bottom of the shallow casserole dish.  When the rice is done cooking spread the rice on top of the onion mixture.  In a bowl mix the cream of mushroom and milk.  Once you have mixed that spread the mixture on top of the rice.  Spread chopped olives on top of the cream of mushroom mixture.  Once you have done that you can top with cheese and place it in the oven for 30 minutes.  

 

What is great is you can use different kinds of meats with this. You can also add veggies if you like.

A Word That Is So Encouraging From Our Savior!

He Has Filled My Cup

Praise Him for His mighty works; Praise Him for His marvelous grace.

Let all that is within me praise His wonderful name.  Yes, let my heart be lifted up in thanksgiving, and let my soul rejoice with song. For He has delivered me out of the lion's mouth. He has lifted me out of the pit. He has put a song in my mouth. He has put gladness in my heart. Yes, he is altogether lovely. More than tongue can express or finite mind can know. For he has stretched forth His mighty hand and smitten the waters. He has made me to pass through dry-shod.  Hallelujah! For there is will be not more sea. (See Revelation 21:1.)

There will be no more separation! He has removed every barrier. He has bridged the gulf. he has drawn me unto Himself, yes, into Himself. He has left the enemy in confusion and defeat. He has led me through the way of wilderness, and his hand has been a shade from the burning heat. Thought the barren wasteland, he has filled my cup from living streams. He has sustained, He has delivered, He has revealed Himself in a cloud, in the fire, and in the Shekinah Glory.  Lo, as if this has not been enough, He brought me to the banks of Jordan.  He did precede me.  For as the priests went first, bearing the ark, So He did pass ahead in pull possession of all His promises, and thus he opened my way and brought me into the land that flows with milk and honey.  (See Joshua 3:16-17; 4:24.) A land of promise, a land of fulfillment; a land of conquest, a land of victory, a land of abundance; a land of fatness, a land of unreserved blessing.  Yes, he has been unperturbed, through the inhabitant of the land be giants; for in His sight they be grasshoppers! And one with Him shall be mightier than them all.  Yes, and he shall give me Hebron for the inheritance. Let me not camp in the plain; but give me this mountain, for though my youth was spent in the wilderness, let my strength be renewed. Let my arm be mighty in battle.  (See Joshua 4:10-14.) For surely for his hour have you preserved my life.  As sheep You led us through the wilderness, but now, O God, we stand in the Land; as sheep no longer, nor you as Shepherd, But you stand before us as the Mighty Captain of the Hosts of the Almighty and we as men of war. (See Joshua 5:13-15.) We seek no longer to rest in green pastures and lie besides still waters; for you have issued your command to wipe out the giants, and to utterly destroy the inhabitant of the land.  Your provisions are full and free and abundant; but they are not uncontested.  Yes the enemy seeks by myriad means to resist our every move toward conquest and possession.  Strengthen Our Faith.  Make us mighty through God for the pulling down of strongholds.  Let us bind on the full armor of God that we may be able to withstand the attacks of the adversary, and that we may be the energy of Your Holy Spirit. Deliver to him deathblows. (See Ephesians 6:10-17.)  Suffer us never to fall into his hands.  Fight for us; and in your grace and mercy, Sustain us when we waver.  Be ever close at our side, and forbid that we leave the job unfinished as did Israel of old, and thereby suffer untold anguish.

Chores for Children..........

I thought I would give you a glimpse of what the kids chores look like in our home.

We have 4 children living in the home however my 17 almost 18 year old son who has graduated just got back from Mexico after spending 4 months going through the School of Servant Hood.  He is on the search for a J-O-B so he is always gone.  The other kids are 13, 12, and 9. So here are the chores for the other three kids.  Keep in mind I homeschool so they are with me during the day.

 I have a white board in the hallway and there are three groups of chores every week and they alternate starting on Sunday and end on Saturday. 

 Group 1

*Clean up after dog

*Let chickens out of pin in the AM/Collect eggs in the afternoon

*Clean up table after dinner

Group 2

*Clean off Bathroom counter, wash out sink, clean toilet

*Feed and water dog

*Ask mom is she needs help (If I don't need help with anything I find something for them to do-- not something so big it will take a long time to do but maybe pick up the toys in the back yard that was left the day before or water the flowers.)

Group 3

*Empty the dishwasher

*Help with Dinner (Mon, Tues and Friday)  Three days a week I have one of the kids in the kitchen with me teaching them how to prepare a meal.  This allows time to connect with that child and bonding time.)

*Set table for dinner

*Feed and water the bunny

In our home the kids have to earn their computer time.  Each child gets 1 hour on the computer a day if they have marked each one of the items below off.

 

*chores are done (or as many that can be done at that time.  We don't check the eggs until 4:00 pm.  So at 12:00 if that has not been done but all the others have then I give them the okay)

*Exercise for 30 min (ride bikes, walk around the block or so on. I want to see red cheeks when they come to me saying they are done).

*Showers are taken

*Room is clean

Once these are done they can get on the computer for 1 hour.  Dead line to get on the computer is 6:00 pm unless they are doing school work and they need special approval from Mom or Dad.  Depending on what is happening that day I usually let them on the computer for 30 minutes and then they let the other one who is done with their chores on for 30 min and then if we have time for all three kids to get their full hour in (usually we do but sometimes we don't) we take turns so all the kids have equal time on the computer.  Sometimes only 2 has all their chores done and can get on for that day.  Chores need to be done whether they want to get on the computer or not.  Usually they are dying to get on so they get up and by noon they are trying to get things done.  I am just waiting for them to catch on that if their room stays clean then that is one item on their list they won't have to worry about.  It still has not sunk in yet but I have faith that one day it will.

A Word From Our Savior In The Midst Of Our Storms

ETERNITY AND TIME

....a wheel in the middle of wheel.

Ezekiel 1:16

Behold, a new day is dawning! Do not let the sound of war and discords deafen your ears to My message; for I would speak to you a word of encouragement and would bring you tidings of hope.

My little children, I have not gone away never to return; but I will surely come, yes, even at a time when you least expect and when many will have become engrossed in the problems of the hour.

My beloved ones, do not focus on the problems of the world; but lookup, for surely your deliverance is near.

My ageless purposes are set in Eternity.  Time is like a little wheel set within a big wheel of Eternity.  The little wheel turns swiftly and shall one day cease.  The big wheel turns not, but goes straight forward.  Time is your responsibility--Eternity in Mine! You will move into your place in the big wheel when the little wheel is left behind.  See that now you redeem the time, making sure of it for the purposes of My eternal Kingdom, thus investing it with something of the quality of the big wheel.  As you do this your days will not be part of that which turns and dies, but for what which goes straight forward and becomes one with My great universe.

Fill your days with Light and love and testimony.  Glorify and honor My name.  Praise and delight yourself in the Lord.  So shall Eternity inhabit your heart and will deliver your soul from the bondage of time.

You will experience liberation from the pressures of time, and in your own heart, you will slow down the little wheel.  So will you find a new kind of rest.  You will have a foretaste of the Sabbath rest, into which the whole earth will enter before long.  When this time comes, I Myself will slow down the little wheel of time, and there will be an adjustment, and it will be as it was in the beginning.

The pressures of time have increases as sin has increases, and all to often My children have been found living more in the little wheel than in the big.  This happens whenever the flesh is in ascendancy over the Spirit.  Whenever the opposite is true, you have always experienced a fleeting but glorious freedom from the racing little wheel.  It is not true?  You have found the Spirit always unhurried and you have marveled to find how oblivious you had been to the passage of time whenever you have been truly in the Sprit. 

You can live here as much as you choose.  You can enjoy this rest and disengage yourself from the little wheel as often and as long as you desire.  You will lose nothing and gain much.  Try it as therapy for your physical body.  It will most certainly be a tremendous source of energy and vitality for your spiritual life!
